About Me

Willi Rose began playing the piano as a young child and church music in particular when she was in junior high school.
Her family would sing around the piano, while her mom played the piano Willi, her brother Harvey, sister Johnnie Beth, and father Bart would sing harmonies. They did the same at church on Sundays for years.
One day, her father handed her a Broadman Hymnal, which is about 2 inches thick and full of church hymns, and said, “When you can play every song in this book, I’ll give you $10!”
That was a lot of money to Willette, which is what she was called back then, so she worked her way through that hymnal. This is how she became so good at playing hymns and an expert church musician overall.
She is also an expert sight reader who can play many different types of music.
Since those early days she’s been a church pianist, organist, choir director, music director, and composer.
When it comes to playing hymns and church music, if you can name it then chances are, it’s a title she’s held or a song she has played.
Not only that, Willi has played in various churches that include Methodist, Baptist, Lutheran, and Christian.
Willi has been teaching music for decades, with many of her students becoming accomplished musicians in their own rights. Currently, she is the owner of the Willi Rose Music Academy located in Yucaipa, California.
She is a professional musician and teacher in every sense of the word, but what she enjoys best is being church musician playing the best hymns and church songs.
This website is her way of bringing hymns and church songs to people who are looking to listen and watch hymn videos without all the distractions and intrusiveness most video watching platforms come with.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact Willi and she will reply in a timely manner.
